HERD DYNAMIC SEMINAR

Dr Shelley Appleton will be hosting a seminar on Herd Dynamics on the 25-26 March 2023 at Sutton Forrest, New South Wales, Australia. Kerry M Thomas, herd dynamic expert from the USA will be Shelley’s guest at this event to present his fascinating insights into herd dynamics.

At this seminar you will learn:

  • Introduction to herd dynamics and its relevancy to working well with horses.

  • Sensory Soundness and how an individual horses senses can be evaluated and mapped to help profile a horse and their sensory strengths and weaknesses.

  • Insights into the psychology of performance and how to the nurture individual horse to develop the athlete.

  • Equine PTSD and how coaching with a insight into herd dynamics can help horses overcome the impact of trauma.

  • How to build a mental stimulus obstacle course to help horses develop their capacity to harmonise with environments in order to comprehend it and minimise stress.
