BENEFITS OF A ROCKING HORSE OVER A REAL HORSE

Benefits of a Rocking Horse Over a Real Horse

1. Once you buy it, you don't need to spend much money on it. No board, feed bills, farrier costs, vet bills, equipment, tack that fits etc.

2. You can keep it anywhere you like, it doesn't need friends, grazing, sleep, to feel safe etc.

3. It doesn't have pesky thoughts, feelings or emotions. You will have no problem with confusion, conflicted thoughts, anxiety, defensiveness or fear. Also, you can hang on to it anyway you like, ride it for as long as you like and it will not get upset or suffer in anyway!

4. You don't have to really learn anything new or stretch yourself in anyway. As long as you can find a way onboard, hang on and find a way to make it move - that is it! So easy!

5. If it does break or need a service someone else can do this for you without any consequence. You don't need to learn how to fix it or maintain it yourself if you don't want to.

6. Can be dismantled and fit in the back of a car.

7. You can position it anywhere you like when you ride - in front of the TV or even at the scary end of the arena and you will have a pleasant ride.

8. Endless selfies with the ears forward and you can change the coat colour with a paint job anytime you like!

But....

You will miss out on meeting the most beautiful, gentle and trainable creature on the planet.

You will miss out on how the horse will change you and make you a better human being.

They will challenge you, humble you and make you grow in character. They will inspire you to be active and healthy and you will learn how to learn.

You will miss out on the adventures they can take you on, and the people and communities you will meet. Communities where you will find friends and build great memories.

You will miss out on having passion, curiosity and interests that horses can spark inside you....well unless you get really into rocking horse restoration!

But hopefully you get what I mean....

If the benefits of the rocking horse sound like your thing, then real horses will not be your cup of tea!

PS. Rocking horse from my favourite Horseland shop in Australia - Midland Horseland Western Australia.
