A TRAINING CHALLENGE TEST FOR YOU AND YOUR HORSE

This is my best friend and horse training protégé Katrin Kuenster and a horse she has in for training. This pony is called Comet and he is a 5 year old welsh cob.

Comet had just shown that he has lovely ”calm yet responsive” responses when asked to walk from halt, when asked to trot from walk, and when asked to canter from trot. So I asked Katrin to show me what happened when she asked Comet to walk and then ask for canter....then ask him to walk from canter?

This was Comet’s response!

I should point out this is Comet’s 5th ride! I anticipate this response will be seamless by next weekend. This is the impact of building a horse’s learning and gymnastic development from ground work up...allowing the horse to feel confident and successful at each stage.
